In the past he made annoying street interventions which made people uncomfortable, presently he is advancing sustainable design through campaigns, workshops and artistic presentations. He prefers to work in groups and to develop antidisciplinary collaborations with specialists from different fields. Because his work is based on collaborations only a selection of works is presented on this website (collaborative art processes listed below). From 2015 onward he has been focusing on sounds in an effort to understand how they build communities. He has worked for associations, museums and other artists. A detailed <\/i><i><a href=\"https:\/\/eero.storijapan.net\/docfolio\/labor\/\">work history is available online<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"http:\/\/oree.storijapan.net\/\">Ore.e Refineries<\/a><\/b> is an independent public utility company established in 2007 by Yli-Vakkuri and blacksmith Jesse Sipola. The company has made workshops, exhibitions and performances around Europe.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/oree.storijapan.net\/praxis\/hevoslinja\/#Trans-Horse\">Trans-Horse project<\/a> (2014\u2013) is being conducted as an open-ended artistic research, knowledge production and network building process with horses. A highlight of project was presented at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jukkapalmu\/sets\/72157689386401556\">Signal #6<\/a> in Brussels.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/oree.storijapan.net\/praxis\/sound-of-work\/\">Sound of Work: Blacksmith edition 1<\/a> (2017) is an archaeoacoustic sound library which consists of tool and machine themed samples recorded at Jesse Sipola\u2019s smithy close to Turku, Finland.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/oree.storijapan.net\/praxis\/seli-seli-seppele\/#short_in_english\">Seli-seli Seppele (2013)<\/a> is a public artwork located in Toijala, Fi. Commissioned Toijala Gymnasium rector Tuovi Ronkainen. The artwork is constructed from rearranged school memorabilia and a concrete bust\/flowerpot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>xxx_group <\/b>specialized in performing in public spaces and presented new shows annually between 2007-2013. Members of the group were disillusioned by the concept of site-specific art and argued that performance art is best suited for shopping centers and similar generic venues \u2013 Where the performers, arriving from a different cultural context, may find features to honestly identify with.\n<ul>\n<li>Videos <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/xxxgroup\">https:\/\/vimeo.com\/xxxgroup<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/xxx_group\/albums\">photos on flickr.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"http:\/\/storijapan.net\/10huonetta\/\">10huonetta<\/a><\/b> produced \u201cHeros of Art\u201d performance for the Finnish National Gallery, Helsinki 2011. The 46h long performance highlighted the work of the Museum Attendants. In 2012 the group published <a href=\"http:\/\/storijapan.net\/10huonetta\/media\/0_kaisla-taiteen_sankari_%282012%29.pdf\">Kaisla &#8211; Hero of Art audio\/book<\/a> publication aimed for children and critical thinkers alike.\n<ul>\n<li>46 hours of performance as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PL7kYFXbe_q0r9nNv1rIyv0Tw5tb4-ylCX\">playlist (youtube)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/storijapan.net\/10huonetta\/blockbuster\/index.html\">Blockbuster (2012)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vartiosaariartists.org\/nomadic-kiln-group\">Nomadic Kiln Group<\/a><\/b> with Monika Czy\u017cyk &amp; Elina Vainio has been building kilns for earthenware ceramics from 2022 onwards. We organize workshops for sourcing wild clay and have experimented with raku. Some facets of the work have been presented in galleries.\n<ul>\n<li>Regel 62 groupshow at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ofluxo.net\/regel-62-groupshow-at-sinne-helsinki\/\">Sinne gallery 2023<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vartiosaariartists.org\/nomadic-kiln-group\">Institute for Coping with Destruction<\/a><\/b> with Heini Aho &amp; Leena Kela has been working to come to terms with the environmental changes of the Baltic sea from 2021 onwards.
