I got PiFmRds<\/a> to work on my RasPi3.<\/p>\n

Note to self:<\/p>\n

1. Use Etcher<\/a> to flash Raspbian<\/a>.
\n2. Enable ssh in RasPi using Terminal
\ncd Volumes
\ncd boot
\ntouch ssh<\/code>
\n3. Boot RasPi3, login via ssh
\n4. Set new password
\npasswd<\/code>
\n5. Set locale
\nraspi-config<\/code>
\n6. Install sndfile library
\nsudo apt-get install libsndfile1-dev<\/code>
\n7. Install PiFmRds
\ngit clone https:\/\/github.com\/ChristopheJacquet\/PiFmRds.git
\ncd PiFmRds\/src
\nmake clean
\nmake<\/code>
\n8. Broadcast from usb audio in at 107.9FM in mono 22050
\nsudo arecord -fS16_LE -r 22050 -Dplughw:1,0 -c 1 - | sudo .\/pi_fm_rds -audio - -rt Hammeradio<\/code>
\n9. End broadcast
\nsudo pkill pi_fm_rds<\/code><\/p>\n

Fiddled\u00a0with PiFmRds settings (I want it to display Hammeradio<\/a>\u00a0as radiotext (RT) but I’m not sure if it’s working). I also want to run a .sh script on boot to launch pi_fm_rds broadcast (aka. step 8). Currently launching\u00a0the pi_fm_rds from\u00a0\/etc\/rc.local<\/code>. Tomorrow I’ll try\u00a0to build\u00a0a\u00a0cron startup schedule<\/a>\u00a0so that I can spare the Hammeradio\u00a0preamp from excess stress by powering the system down on\u00a0gallery off hours (I have to use a preamp to connect a piezo mic to the RasPi). Other useful resources for future\u00a0tightvnc manual<\/a>.<\/p>\n
