It\u2019s the insistence that certain beliefs and images are so important to particular cultures that they may not appropriated by others.<\/p>\n<p>Seventy years ago, racist radio stations refused to play \u201crace music\u201d for a white audience. Today, antiracist activists insist that white painters should not portray black subjects. To appropriate a phrase from a culture not my own: Plus \u00e7a change, plus c\u2019est la m\u00eame chose.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialcooling.com\">Social Cooling<\/a>\u00a0explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If you feel you are being watched,\u00a0you change your behavior.
