[\u2026] The standpoints of the subjugated are not &#8216;innocent&#8217; positions. [\u2026] &#8216;Subjugated&#8217; standpoints are preferred because they seem to promise more adequate, sustained, objective, transforming accounts of\u00a0the world. But\u00a0<em>how<\/em> to see from below is a problem requiring at least as much skill with bodies and language, with the mediations of vision, as the &#8216;highest&#8217; technoscientific visualizations.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Derrida insisted that\u00a0all human codes and cultural expressions are \u201cwriting\u201d and that\u00a0everything can be understood\u00a0as\u00a0text.\u00a0This means that bodies bashing against structures and seeking\u00a0affordances, are in fact &#8220;reading&#8221;\u00a0our culture. From this perspective the ones that\u00a0are exposed to the violence of our\u00a0system have more access to to it&#8217;s structures!
